OPEN Position: Service and Support Administrator – Children
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Social Services related field;
• Experience in DD, MH or other related social service position;
• Possession of or ability to obtain Service & Support Administration certification from the Ohio Department of DD;
• Satisfactory criminal background and Abuser Registry checks;
• Possess valid driver’s license.
Classification: Permanent, full time, 12 months, 40 hours/week,
Hours: 8:00 – 4:00 Monday – Friday, ½ hour paid lunch.
This position is on call as assigned.
Supervised by: Service & Support Administration Director
Duties:
• The Children’s SSA will work closely with children and their families and assist teachers in coordinating educational needs and resources, including scheduling IEP meetings, coordinating school meetings, and working with school districts.
• Service and Support Administration is specialized work in facilitating, coordinating, and monitoring individualized service plans for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities or those at risk for disabilities. These plans promote the principles of self-determination and person-centered planning.
• SSAs assess individual needs for services; establish budgets for services based on the individual’s assessed needs and preferred ways of meeting those needs.
• SSAs ensure that services are effectively coordinated and provided by appropriate providers. They implement an on-going system of monitoring individualized service plans. Reviews any Unusual and Major Unusual Incidents for trends and patterns and takes a lead role in solving problems identified.
• Scheduled on-call responsibilities require availability to deal with urgent situations during non-business hours with children and adults. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $20.43 – $30.35/hour
