SPECIAL OLYMPICS: HARDIN COUNTY PIONEERS

 

Hardin County Special Olympics offers year-round sports training and competitive opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Hardin County, empowering them to achieve their full potential in athletics and beyond.

2024 Hoopin’ It Up Fundraiser

BASKETBALL

Basketball Season runs from November to February. Our big game for the year is our fundraiser event against the Sheriff’s Department!

 

 

SWIMMING

Swim season is from December to March. In 2025, we got 7 medals at the State Winter Games! 

BOWLING

Bowling starts in February and goes to April. Final bowling event is the Tournament of Champions in April.

PEP CLUB

Pep Club season runs over the course of basketball season from November to February.

 

 

TRACK & FIELD

Track and Field runs from March – May and ends with the Regional Track Meet.

ATHLETE OATH: “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”

Special Olympics gives athletes ages 8 and older the opportunity to stay active, learn different sports, build teamwork and leadership skills, make new friends and have fun!

All athletes must complete the required forms  to participate. All forms must be submitted before athletes can compete. Completed forms can be sent to [email protected] or dropped off to Hardin DD / Simon Kenton Schools located at 705 North Ida Street in Kenton.
